The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has asked all private hospitals in Lahore to submit their complete tax details. Officials said this step was taken to address the growing tax record issue and ensure that all hospitals are following national tax laws. The first review shows that several institutions may not be reporting their earnings correctly.

According to FBR officials, the tax record of a well-known private hospital has already been taken into possession. Authorities revealed that the hospital management was not providing accurate information and was hiding important financial data. They said this action is part of a strict check on hospitals that are not cooperating.

The officials further explained that the actual annual tax of the hospital is around 550 million rupees. However, the hospital administration insists on paying only 5.5 million rupees per quarter, which shows a large difference between reported income and real financial activity. FBR believes this gap is a serious concern.

FBR has also warned that every private hospital must give complete and correct data. Any attempt to hide earnings or give incomplete information will lead to strict legal action. This campaign is meant to make sure that all private hospitals are paying their fair share of taxes.
